I really love glen's poetry because he writes in a way that most people understand and altho can be looked at as serious - they are doin all those things there is a totally 'off the wall' humorous side that if you were depressed, for a split second a smile will turn your lips up at the corners and form a full on laugh that will at once put you in a better place. Perhaps we ARE a nation that takes the easy way out and pop too many pills, when its company or family or understanding or even sex for goodness sake that alleviates the pressure of why a person is unwell. I could read Glen's poems all day long...

Afterthought: I love my doctor (professionally). He has watched me claw my way back from a complete nervous breakdown over 10 years ago, its been a long and rough journey, only to become very ill again triggered by the Chch quakes. I dont know what Id do without him, he is very much appreciated, you will be too. :)

Beautiful Glenn and sad, it must be very challenging to deal with this all the time. I agree and feel for you, big hug :)

I know exactly what you are saying. Being in a service profession where all you want to do is help can be soul destroying. On the up side, doctors are generally appreciated, even if they don't think they are. Having just been through a period of shocking ill-health, I am finally listening to my doctor and setting about losing weight. I finally get that nearly every aspect of my body is governed by what goes in to my mouth! It took 50 years for me to get that message. Keep going, never give up, one day it will sink in! Thank you.
