Tauhara Paetiki Neighbourhood Policing Team Facebook page comes close to a catch
It's about as close as you can to catching someone; putting a message on your Facebook page and having the very person who you're looking for post a response.
On June 29th, Tauhara Paetiki Neighbourhood Policing team posted a picture of a Michael Shane Hagger on their Facebook page.
The post read "Michael Shane HAGGER is a 34 year old male who has 3 warrants for his arrest issued by the Taupo District Court. If you have information as to this mans whereabouts please contact the Taupo Police on 07 378 6060 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111."
Some two and half hours later, a comment appears to have been posted by a Michael Hagger.
"hoo rah" read the comment from Michael.
The Neighbourhood Policing team responded, asking for Mr. Hagger to hand himself in. The current thread of comments indicate that Mr. Hagger is still at large, however.
Nobody from the team was available to comment on the authenticity of the image circulating online, but later comments indicate the comment had been removed by the page administrator.
Not a catch. but great coup nonetheless!
An earlier screengrab of the post appears to show the comment from Michael Hagger, who has 3 arrest warrants out on him.
