I've had this book and album for many years and never really given it a good listen. Check it out, it's bloody great stuff from some of NZs finest creatives.
Fane Flaws comes from the Blerta era, hanging with folk such as Bruno Lawrence and Geoff Murphy. Well worth the money, your young kids will love a lot of the songs, as will you, and the book is an equally great ride for them.
The tracks I played were:
The Man With The cast Iron belly featuring George Washingmachine
The Hide and Seeky Bird featuring the superb John Clarke
The Eccentric Instrumentalist featuring the brilliant Topp Twins
The Underwater Melon Man featuring one of the god fathers of NZ music Chris Knox.
