Should we be repealing the foreshore and seabed act?

Is it necessary for the foreshore and seabed act to be repealed? Prime Minister John Key has said he thinks an "elegant" solution can be found, but he has warned Maori not to expect too much. Maori Party MP Hone Harawira stated three conditions that would be attached to the crown's return of the foreshore and seabed to Maori: "One, Maori title of the foreshore and seabed; Two, in case anyone is scared we will sell it, make it (title) inalieanable; Three, full access to all New Zealanders forever." What do you feel will be the likely outcome of the repeal?

white motherf***ers have been ripping us off for years! Hone showing his true colors racist fulla he is!.

I like pita sharples i think he is a man who shows great integeraty in his actions...he is absolutey the right man to be doing deals for maori...His actions seem not to come from a base of anger but from a base of factual understanding of the pecarious situation we pakeha and maori are in...i have all the time in the world to listen to pitas clear words and thoughts...I respect that man a great deal yes he has a right to be angry but he knows that anger will only lead himself and the maori people down a road already whalked a road that will always lead to a dead end...Keep up the good leadership pita as a white i respect what you are trying to achieve for maori...Hone i have no respect for you brown motherf**ker.

Cane: apologies not making a constuctive point about the new party I accept that it was poor taste..your right! Bron's: I come from a bloodline that has a directline to Cheif Hone Heke (not the soninlaw) I have read many historical books and been told many stories from my elder's I speak from my own whakapapa's knowledge..There was never intention in 1840 to become legally bi-cultuure that is why the war in 1860 between the 2 culture's fought against each other..there still is No bi-cultural in law today..we are still monocultural in Law. I don't see people's rights to be who they are a problem I see the Law that is forced upon a majority is a major problem ! And would love it if we could stop allowing the Minorty Powers that keep on throwing us all into a pit full of nothing. Surely we have learnt something from so much sorrow worldwide. Mayb it's just pot luck..

Hone and Willie speak with vile contempt for their fellow non maori and they are a disgrace to the majority of peace loving hard working non urban Maori!

thnx kate for enlightening us about the 1840s and 60s. as we were already bicultural by then hence why our so called treaty was created. dont lie about the future of nzlndrs when u kno deep dwn inside. the so called whitey would say the best future for nz is one without MAORI and the evidence surely shows it many moons and mountains except one thing you forgot we havent got much mountains left

who the heck said that hone was a disgrace to our people you dont know anything about that subject but i will ask you this question show me where you think hone has been angry in his approaches to maori issues if you can show me an example of his anger i will gladly shut my mouth, for is it anger that he preaches or is it purely just his right to have an opinion.why is it that when a maori says something its automatically got something to do with anger.because if you want to talk about anger lets talk about your anger your history which stems way beyond any violence or anger our people have done i mean you not only created greed and wars you created money aswell and who went to war for your peoples wrong every other race you guys went to destroy and forced to do your wars and just when you thought that was over here came the new things that were created prostitution, diseases, alcohol, cigarettes, poverty and thats only a few topics and then who was blamed for abusing it maori not the whiteys and still blamed to this day so you tell me how is a race that was left with this much crap of had the time to fight for what they had from the start our whenua (land and our home Aotearoa).
