This is a case of 'it is what it is'. It costs to have extra weight in your bags...maybe i should start strapping my clothes to my body if it is ok to weigh more!?

How about a ticket cost per individual weight, that way you're not discriminating one particular group of people? At the ticket counter you step on the scales and your ticket price pops up according to your weight, that way you're not just discriminating against the obese alone. What about those who are so skinny that two people could share one seat, shouldn't they get half priced tickets if they share? Last, if anyone truly believes that photo of the big guy on the plane is real, look closer, if his backside is honestly on the seat of the airplane then look where his shoulders are, they tower above the heads of everyone else... he'd have to be over 8 feet tall. That's a manipulated photo, why can't everyone see that?

Yes. There should be a "sizing chair" at the airport, like they have weight and sizing for bags. If you can't fit in the chair, you buy a bigger chair which costs more. They should also have small chairs for kids too.

Of course they should. Just like if 1 Big Mac Combo doesn't make them full then of course they should have to pay for an extra combo. But maybe the airlines should start putting in a few larger sized seats where fat people can pay to upsize. If we have to pay extra to have more leg space in business class why shouldn't fat people pay more for more bum space.

If someone takes up more than one seat, of course they should pay for a second seat. Just imagine what it must be like for people in economy, being stuck beside a person than can't fit into a airline seat on a long flight.

Just wondering what deems someone to be fat...it cant be simply size...cus you look at those big boned people out there...like some of those islander boys are huge...not fat but just huge...with a naturally wide body...what is the deeming factor to people being charged extra...and what happenes if someone has a medical condition that leads to them being fat?...and a 43-44cm seat aint that big???
