Hell yeah!! Ban gang patches, and those friggin immo’s that wear pajamas when they go to the dairy. And those face things those bloody terrorists wear. At least they got rid of hoodies in malls, but they should ban those sh*thouse furry boots as well. Anything with heavy metal on the front should be banned as well unless its like guns and roses cuz they’re just queers so don’t count. Nothing red, blue or orange, but the red, gold n green is prob ok. Ban selling oversized jeans to teens and make it a crime to supply ya mates if ya a fat f**k. Anything black should be auto in at a club. Maybe you could have an exemption for patches if they use a tuatara, fantail, or kiwi as their decal thingy..

Jeffrey Huffadine, think about it, it is impossible to ban gangs as almost every group in society is a freaking gang. What are we going to do make it illegal for anyone too be in a group larger than 2??

Wakeup NewZealand is't it about time that that the local government should have the power to ban all gangs including Crpyts,Bloods,Black Power and Mongrel Mob patches. We the public feel as if these gangs are intimidating us and scarring the heck out of all innocent lawabiding citizens.End of story.Full stop.No questions asked.Ignore what Chris says.

NO, the govt has no right to dictate how people can dress, Liberty is important, and that shit KEY will not infringe on our rights.

The question is:Should local authorities have the power to instigate a law like this, without the need for a parliamentary bill?
No they should not be given this power to form laws themselvs it needs to always go through paraliment to ensure the nutrality of parliment is observed.haha that is if there is any nuteral views left in parliment.

Of Course not. The Gangs are the local government.

Yes, it would save a lot of time and effort from being wasted in upper management (the government) on a law that really can't be enforced that well. Admittedly, in the beginning, with the currently defined patches, it's a breeze to enforce. But are gang patches really going to remain the same forever? What about new gangs? New and evolution of patches will mean the law will simply end up as "arrest anyone involved in gang activity". And we had that law already anyway, didn't we?
