When I was young and dumb, I voted Labour, in the 80's, when David Lange was PM. Lange had principles. Then in the 1990's I woke up. Labour does not stand for progress or prosperity. Phil Goff is a committed socialist with no new ideas and no new vision for New Zealand, he is spent. Goff's mantra has always been to "take from the rich and give to the poor". I am not rich but I work hard and Labour took too much from middle income earners like me and gave nothing back. As we all know, Goff was part of the Labour government that sold the railways and other assets and he should take his share of responsibility for that. Under the last 9 years of the labour government (1999 to 2008) , the only relief us middle income earners were offered by Labour was a packet of chewing gum from Michael Cullin. What a joke! I will never vote Labour again.
Mark my words, Goff will be gone before the next election, he has no charisma and is an old Labour hack that should be put out to pasture with Michael Cullin. Also, when Goff talks about Michael Joseph Savage, he is talking about my grandparents generation, the 1930's, 80 years ago. No disrespect to Michael Joseph Savage, but the present generation wouldn't know who Michael Joseph Savage was. This shows that Goff has no connection with present generation, he is totally out of touch.
