PAK'n'SAVE Meat Week ad returns, with a twist
Supermarket PAK'n'SAVE have revamped their controversial 'Meat Week' TV ad to become more inclusive towards vegetarians. The original ad was pulled earlier this week after vegetarians complained that 'it mocked their belief system'. It asked vegetarian viewers to look away, before purveying the meats on offer. At the end of the ad vegetarians were invited to look back at the screen, the voice-over claiming that only "a carrot" was visible. Once eyes were returned to the ad, the voice-over then informed viewers it was actually a sausage they were looking at.
