It definitely isn't right. I am a U.S. citizen and this is where I approve of blocking a DNS. If a country finds that a site violates it's laws it is up to that country to go through due process to prove it and then block it from their citizens not from the world. It is not the right of the U.S. to push it's laws on citizens of other countries unless they are running their business based on U.S. soil. If he is breaking the law in the country that his business is based in then it should be up to that country to file for extradition and prosecute him there. The United States has absolutely no business enforcing laws outside of it's borders without request from a foreign country and good reason to grant that request. The FBI needs to let the other governments decide how to deal with their own corrupt businessmen. I have not heard anything that makes sense for NZ to grant the U.S. request for extradition. Obviously the business isn't illegal in NZ or they would have shut them down themselves.

I think this is very sad news and I believe that Kim is innocent of wrongdoing. MegaUpload was not only a bitlocker but a legitimate transient file service website. I don't think it's right that US allows for this type of takedown. Data stored online, legal or illegal, can disappear in an instant without warning due to United States government ruling. And what happened to innocent until proven guilty? They throw this guy in jail, take his cars and money, and ask questions later
