PHOTOS: Champions League final penalty shootout at the G8 summit

By Duncan Wilson

Camp David: The atmosphere tense, but exciting, as several G8 leaders convened to watch Chelsea face off against German finalists Bayern Munich.

Like all good football matches between English and German teams, the game went to penalties, the final score one apiece.

As Chelsea sealed their 4-3 victory on penalties, British Prime Minister David Cameron thrust his hands in the air; President Obama stood open-mouthed; EU President José Manuel Barroso's huge hands gripped the leather furniture; German chancellor Angela Merkel sighs with disappointment; and to top it all off, French president elect François Hollande struggles to care!

Watch highlights of the Chelsea vs Bayern Munich match here.

The victory for Chelsea marks their finest achievement in their 107-year history and is sure to have pleased owner of nine years Roman Abramovich, especially after the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas late in the season.
