I watched the first instalment of "River" this evening. My God I am impressed with the beauty of this place we call home. And now I am even more convinced that we ned to rally to prevent the expoitation and destruction of our natural environment.

Craig Potton is a large talent as a presenter too. Not an overbearing vocal 'identity' but a man who conveys the depth of his feeling for our land with a quite, firm voice that is louder than any excited face could. Thank you Craig and thanks also to those who gave on that programme; I look forward to the rest of the series. WAKE UP NZ.

Good for you, Cheryl. I found it frighteningly illuminating how few rivers (one!) is relatively undisturbed in Eastern Canterbury-Otago. I must go to the Clarence ASAP.

Cheers. Graeme

Just listened to your interview with Craig Potton and really look forward to the series. I was taken back in time to when I lived in rural Central Otago and watched the destruction of the mighty Clutha to build the Clyde dam.As a family we explored the banks of the Clutha spending many happy hours with our children in the foothills. I too am passionate about preserving our wilderness. Thanks again Cheryl
