Ewen Macdonald has been been sentenced in a Palmerston North court to five years in prison
Macdonald had faced six charges alleging arson, criminal damage and theft that were laid at the time he was charged with Scott Guy's murder in Feilding.
He was acquitted at trial of the murder charge, after he had pleaded guilty to the lesser offences.
