Mother of tortured daughter speaks to RadioLIVE journalist before going to prison - Audio

Wed, 21 Dec 2011 19:13
Contains graphic language. The west Auckland mother jailed for seven years for the torture of her young daughter says the system failed her - and her family. The 31 year old will serve at least five years without parole after admitting 25 charges of child abuse. The victim was returned to live with her parents and her four siblings in 2008 having being sexually abused while in the care of Child Youth and Family and suffering post traumatic stress disorder. Her mother had written to Prime Minister John Key about the abuse seeking help. Before her sentencing this afternoon, she talked to RadioLIVE's Helen Castles.

Her voice shows no emotion. She is a cruel and evil woman. She must never have a child in her care again. She should be behind bars for at least 20 years. I have no sympathy at all for this piece of excretment, to call her an animal would be unfair to animals. She could have sent her child away.. Where was her family, why did she not tell them and beg them to help. Who stoped her sending her child away or giving her child up... or having her fostered by decent people..EVIL No remorse.. She is a bad mother, a bad less than human being... She acts as if she is a victim, mad!

This person should not be proped up by N.Z. Govt, she is clever and cruel, I believe she is not responsible to take care of children, she is well spoken and sadly dangerous.

I have so got this apology for a human beings number. My how she loves to talk! and said to be so articulate-she can obviously express her feelings of being so let down by "the system" but did she ever articulate to the 23 social agencies or the Prime minister himself how she was torturing her child??No of course not! Her total focus and reason for giving this interview is to move responsibility for her horrendous abuse of her child onto ANYONE BUT HERSELF! and as for saying she was just being protective of her other children and shes NOT A BAD MOTHER!!Just WHAT in her sicko mind does it take to earn that title??She says no one from agencies would assist by coming to see the child !!? If she cared so much and was so absolutely desperate why did she not take the child to them??Perhaps because the signs of abuse and neglect on this poor child would have been obvious to all and the only person this scum was protecting was HERSELF! This interview is an extremely revealing but devastatingly tragic insight into the mind of a cruel, egotistical, seriously deluded human being.Every word she utters is a heinous insult to her children.Every one of her children will be seriously damaged- as the "lucky" ones who escaped her abuse and torture will be scarred by knowing just what evil their "mother?" is capable of. May she get what she deserves.

"The Under Classed" - John Key John Key rightly coined this phrase that may accurately be attributed to the multifauceted problematic (behaviours) or 'culture', all of which are being presented by this mother and her family. When the Upper and the Middle Classes begin to place judgement on this mother as a person, devoid of the understanding of her problematic compounding deficit, you remain as blissfully ignorant, as when the Lower and Middle Classes are placing judgement on the Upper class as persons based on the 'culture' and ability of the Upper Class to compound and advance in thier assets both relationaly and financially.

this is cause and effect in action yes?. if we all are so disgusted of what happend here, and genuinely want to stop this ever happening again in nz . find out the CAUSE. but thats a can of worms labled "too difficult".everyones simply satisfied on "apprppiate punishment" on the perpetrator to make us all feel good that justice has been done for the victems. current punishment laws is not a deterrant . wait for the next case, it will sadly come soon. and yes, the mother is obviusly cruel and maniputling- but find out why and maybe we can stop it happenning again. perhaps a lack of empathy? something that needs to be "taught" to children at a young age or there stuffed as adults for life.

She doesn't even have the decency to call the wee girl her daughter, just coldly "the victim", "the child", why was the little girl taken off her in the first place? Neglect? Abuse? Yet another case of what sounds like a dpb mother with numerous children abusing their "source of money". Because thats all the children become to those scumbags who don't even deserve to be called a parent. I was a dpb mum but my children were loved and cherished and are now decent loving men. She is the most vile of people. My words cannot even describe the contempt for her and the sadness for the little girl, the little boy and the rest of her children.
