Hi Marty

Thank you for the opportunity to say "au revoir" and to lrt you know how much we will all miss you..the young, the old, the sad and the "merry"..the wise and the plonkers.

You are simply the best...better than all the rest...great dad, good sense of humour, warm and compassionate after the earthquake, always patient and understanding and really intuitive of peoples feelings.

Please come back to relieve regularly to let us know how you, Levi and the girls are getting on....your family is our family.

Sincerely

Patsy,, Rachel,Amy and Martin ..Tauranga

Hi Martin
Its such a shame you are leaving the talkback, your pleasant manner will be missed and your great choice of music and interesting guests, and your intelligent conversations. We wish you and your family well in the restaurant, but don't work tooooo hard now!
We look forward to hearing you in the near future on Radio Live
Kind regards, Bev,Ken and Val,Tauranga

Dear Marty, *sob sob* heard your news last night on LIVE and listened to your tape of farewell. Sending you best wishes and loads of good energy and prosperity for your Swanson job. What a great man you are who deserves only the best in life. May your best be yet to come Marty. Take good care of yourself and your family. If it feels right, it is right my friend. So look forward to hearing your voice again when you do the odd fill in. Warm Regards Tiny Webby Northland

I don't listen to the radio very often now - a music station to & from work and talkback only when you are on. Such a pleasure to have someone on the same "wave length", and someone who is not argumentative, self opinionated or forever talking over the callers. Gillian is right - no other host measures up. My very best wishes for your future.

I just happened to be listening late Wednesday night to hear of your departure from the airwaves Marty. More of a listener than a caller I have spoken with you but the lines tonight are flooded to wish you 'goodbye'. It's more of a 'see you later' and we hope to hear you on air from time to time, will miss your gentle and understanding manner, your compassion and politeness shown to callers - there truly is NO other host callers can have a heart to heart with like Martin! Will miss you heaps, all the best and often visit RSA's for dancing, maybe Swanson will be on the list next :)
