We have a trench (approx 20m long/400mm wide/250mm deep) below our upper fenceline which captures stormwater runoff from neighbouring properties above us. On occasions there can be quite a torrent flowing through & if we aren't vigilant in keeping the trench clear silt can back up the flow at the lowest point before exiting (or overflowing as the case may be) to a stormwater drain on the next door neighbours property. Can you offer any suggestions for dealing with runoff more efficiently while "looking nice" asthetically? If we place river stones in the trench would this prevent the build up of silt or just hinder the flow of water? Thanks
hi guys, we are really struggling to get a vision for our backyard. Have been here 2 years now & still can't work out what we need to do. We live in Rotorua. The back section is wide & fully fenced but is worse for wear so was thinking some kind of nice screening & a deck from our ranch slider. Anyway is there one you could recommend we ask or talk to in our area? Thanks - enjoy the show!! Craig
