One of New Zealand's richest women is offering farm workers up to $30,000 if they shop their bosses for animal cruelty. Kathmandu founder Jan Cameron has told TV ONE's Sunday that she wants an end to sow stalls and caged chicken farming and has donated $2 million to SAFE as part of her campaign. Marcus Lush speaks to SAFE Director Hans Kriek about her plans.

I dont think animals will ever be free from cruelty while people use them for their flesh, eggs, wool etc. Its just the nature of the business, animals are seen as units, commodities. they are not seen as individual beings, just things to make money from. As long as an animal is there to make money, its welfare will always come second.
I think Jan Cameron is great for this! Its wonderful! I do hope she goes vegan.
