Colonel Joseph Kittinger's 1960 "19 1/2 mile" jump. Reaching a speed of 988 km/h during the 4:30 of free-fall (the film says 450 mph, but Wikipedia has the recording at 614 mph). The jump made several world records for the highest, fastest and longest skydive.
