John Key's Indonesia visit promoted on massive presidential billboard
By Duncan Wilson
Prime Minister John Key's arrival in New Zealand's closest Asian neighbour has been marked by an extravagant sight: A massive billboard in the capital Jakarta.
Featuring the faces of New Zealand PM Key and his Indonesian counterpart President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the roadside billboard was erected by the president as a welcome gift.
The writing below the sign, in Indonesian, appears to respectfully announce the arrival of the premier of "Selandia Baru", which is Indonesian for New Zealand.
The PM is there on a two-and-a-half day visit with the aim of strengthening ties and boosting trade with the multi-island nation of nearly 238 million people.
