Jiayi Li (Kiko) homicide team needs key items

Avondale Police investigating the murder of Jiayi Li, also known as Kiko, want help from the public to find a knife, a cell phone and shoes. These are believed to have been thrown out of Kiko's red Toyota Alteza vehicle in the early hours of May 19.

The knife is a Wiltshire brand parer - a utility or cook’s knife - with a triple rivet black handle. The cell phone is described as an LG brand KF350 flip top, coloured green/blue and the shoes were flat white or silver pumps.

It is believed these items were thrown from the car onto a roadside somewhere in west Auckland by her killers.

Police also want to hear from anyone who saw the red Toyota Altezza, with the Lexus insignia on it, that is believed to have been parked in a suburb near the central city between May 19 and May 25.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Sergeant Jason McIntosh, Avondale CIB, on (09) 820 5624 or e-mail jason.mcintosh@police.govt.nz

Anonymous callers can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
