Is the new Cabinet a team of winners?

Does John Key's new Cabinet line-up look like a team equipped to bring us prosperity and better standards?

The PM has announced his new line-up, with a number of new faces and portfolio reallocations.

Steven Joyce has been promoted to number four on the list. He picks up Economic Development, Science and innovation, Associate Finance and a new portfolio called Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment.

Paul Bennett remains on Social Development and Youth Affairs duties; Hekia Parata has claimed the Education portfolio from Anne Tolley, as well as Pacific Island Affairs; Gerry Brownlee now has the Transport portfolio.

Do we have a team of winners leading the country?

The biggest loser has to be Anne Tolley. She is by far the worst Minister of Education we have ever had yet she is bumped up Nationals list. Her new portfolios reflects her personality and lack of intellect!! No winners in the Cabinet..same policies that keep the disadvantaged more disadvantaged and the rich growing their wealth. Is there someone in Cabinet that could replace Key? No, such is the lack of talent.

Is the new Cabinet a team of winners?I disagree with Liz as John key has 61 people plus to manage and he's left with Maurice out the back for maybe 1 year.Iam not too sure if anymore natural disasters occurring? What we don't want is the asset sales now that he has Winston Peters to keep him honest should John Key break anymore promises.

He's got 61 people plus to manage and he's left Maurice out the back for maybe 1 year and what's the chance of more National disasters? All I can say is good luck John you will need it. Historically a good win, is problematic to manage

I don't know about the new cabinet, but the old one brought back the Rugby World Cup and gave us our first cricket win over Aus in 18 years. What more could we ask for?

I can't speak about the whole cabinet because I don't know enough of the National Members but I will say something about two of them. Paula Bennett lost her seat but she gets moved up which is dumb. Does that mean she gets better pay for stamping on the poor? That's typical of National! Also the other one I will mention is Steve Joyce. He also moves up while he was in charge of jobs being lost at Hillside Workshop [Railway]! That shows that National doesn't want to create jobs they just want money saved even if it is detrimental to people having jobs and the country making money. Well, the country is definitely going to be poorer!
