Is leaving a child in the bath for seconds negligence?

in the abortion for all and resulting child murder culture, a lot of mothers murder their babies by leaving them in the bath, then claiming they forgot about them answering the phone or whatever. it's an everyday occurrence all over the world.

You dont leave one child in a bath at any age, twins or not... wait until there is help in the home for bath time. a child can drown so easily even in a little water..always take care around water with children. Odd rules here in NZ. you need to fence off a swimming pool, yet, streams adjacent to anyone property, no covers...

It entirely depends on the age of the child. Children under the age of four - no. Otherwise it's survival of the fittest.

Children should NEVER be left alone in the bath, take the phone off the hook, or if you have a cordless one take it with you. When you are bathing young children be totally focussed on the task and make sure there are not going to be any distractions AT ALL!!! It only takes a couple of inches of water & about four minutes for a child to drown. It is definitely neglect especially if parents are aware of the dangers of leaving such a young child alone.
If you have to leave the bathroom, tqake your child(ren) with you, it is not worth the trauma, pain and sadness of losing such a young child.

A tragic mistake & sadness for everyone involved. Babies should not ever be left alone like that even for a minute, even if you think you can 'hear' them. Children at every age are vulnerable in water, this little girl was even too young to walk.

A tragic accident...Things like this do not happen everyday... Always run a very shallow bath.. And do not spend more than 1 minute away.. If you do pain too take longer just take baby out of the bath until you come back... Even drain the bath and refill when you come back... simple safety advice is a must.. But every mother should already know about safety in the home... Id hope!!

Depends if the mother left to go get the stop watch so she could time her daughters length split times and the daughter started before the official starter's gun!
