Is it our business if Alison Mau has a girlfriend?

It's nobodies business whose sleeping with who whether they be straight or gay, it only becomes your business when the people involved make it your business by telling you themselves, till then it should only be taken as hear say. I think invading the very personal lives of people whether they're celebrities or not is a gross invasion of their privacy

Funny how those that seek attention in their careers combined with publicity in the the print media (and are sometimes paid for both) get bitter fast when the attention is not of their liking.

I really don't care what Alison does. What I do care about is the way she handled it. I use to really like her, but after listening to her outburst on Breakfast, I went totally off her. Not for her sexual preference. I think she is really beautiful and I love the fact that she hasn't had cosmetic surgery and is growing old gracefully, I just wish she didn't have that silly outburst. She is in the public eye and has to accept these things.

It's your life Alison your choice and legal to,just don't smoke a joint when you're having fun, now that would be bad.

Betty, most of the NZ media are at the same journalistic level as the UK/US tabloids. There aren't "celebrities" in NZ so they target people like Alison

her alone, and get on with your own lives, she's not doing you
gossipers any harm.

sorry to say this but to me it seems like a lifestyle choice for some women in thier fortys when they get sick of thier marriage's you dont see any men doing it ,but in our tiny district thier has been two in two years please someone tell me i'm wrong.

Just because someone is good at their job it doesn't give the whole country the right to know about their private life, that's why it's called a PRIVATE life. If Ali wasn't on TV no-one would care so why should she be punished for having a good job. I'm sure she didn't go into journalism just to "be on TV". She hasn't worked hard for years to get where she is just to be turned into the latest bit of gossip. I say leave her and her family alone and in peace, what she does outside of work is her business if she isn't breaking any laws!

If your vocational success depends upon your popularity in the public eye, expect no privacy. If you want to live your life away from public scrutiny, become a check-out girl or an accountant. Don't seek the public's adoration one minute, thinking you can simply switch off the next: you can't. Everybody knows that. You're ours, and we all want to, and are entitled to, know who you're sleeping with.
