Is Auckland ready for the Rugby World Cup?

Will Auckland be able to cope with the 2011 Rugby World Cup? The event is the world's third largest sporting event and is expected to attract 60'000 overseas visitors. Demand for public transport is believed to increase to four times what Auckland has ever seen before. A draft transport strategy shows that transport planners are worried. Will the city be ready to host the fans in time?

As long as the upgrade of the rail in Auckland is completed, Auckland should be ready.

No I don't think Auckland is ready for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.I think that Christchurch is ready for it but except for the likes of its airport terminalrevamp thats if it is completed ontime inreadiness for the influx of overseas visitors and also local visitors at which is just another year away.
