Chris! you sound like a damn right wing NAT!.
Halloway is Spot On".
The judiciary is at fault in NZ as it is far too lenient and thats why there are so many repeat offenders,,Wake up Chris, you are deluded.
"what gives you the right to insult your moral/intellectual/social superiors" SUPERIORS, my backside!, just because these buffoons have some fragments of paper and a degree DOES NOT! make them superior.
Our Superiors are they men who fought wars to enable this somewhat now corrupt democracy to exist.

Chris, dont go calling the folk on the benefits "lazy" "scumbags", most who are on the bene would love to work,,where have all the jobs gone?,,oh thats right! the greedy corperates shifted them all offshore!.

I agree with Halloway, Raise the benefits, it will help.

Have you seen nations where there is no benefit? ,,do you want to live in a land where you have 10ft high stone fences with broken glass cemented into the walls, carry a gun where-ever you go, and have paid security to protect your home,,i`ve been there, dont want it here.

Wise up CHRIS

Halloway - Raise benefits ?? We need to slash benefits, those lazy scumbags can starve if they refuse to work. You insult the Judiciary, what gives you the right to insult your moral/intellectual/social superiors? You call the judiciary Liberal as an insult? I presume that you are an Authoritarian, I presume that you also support Totalitarianism. That you also love all the dictators in the world and hate democracy?

The same answer will also stop assault on adults attempt of murder burglary etc... Its really a very broad question this... It cannot be answered with out addressing a whole assortment of crimes.... And the answers and solutions will only upset most New Zealanders which means this probably wont change.. Maybe never change unless radical law changes are made.... So answer.... There is no way yet...

Poverty=Abuse-Gangs-Violence.
Unfortunately in NZ almost all of the jobs have GONE!, taken away by politicians and greedy corperates.
The only answer is to RAISE the benefit levels so the wretchid dont feel so dispossessed, and boot out all these pathetic liberal judges who give a slap on the hand for serious crime,, !!

Easy, reduce poverty. Reducing poverty is easy, get the state out of everything that does not involve governance. All services provided by the government are overpriced and under-performing. If what the govt currently provides was given to private companies the services would be cheaper and better overall. The increased performance in our economy would reduce poverty. As we all no self-induced poverty is a cause of serious crime. The market will fix everything.
