Help Police identify man hit by train
Police trying to identify a man critically injured when he was struck by a train in Levin on Friday night have produced this image of him in the hope that somebody will recognise him.
The man is believed to be in his 50s or 60s, appears European, is clean shaven and wears dentures and prescription glasses. His skin is white with peachy tones and freckles. He is estimated as being around 5ft 7ins or 5ft 8ins high and 90 to 100 kilos in weight; stocky but not overweight. He has particularly distinctive hair which is pearly grey with darker flecks through the back.
In the ambulance he said the name Alan although it is not known whether that is his name or someone else he was making reference to.
On Friday night he was wearing light blue denim jeans, a blue bomber style jacket with a zip front, a lumber-jack type shirt with a dark green check on a light cream background, grey socks, black loafer-style shoes and a black beanie hat with a silver fern symbol on the front.
Police urgently want to identify him so they can arrange for any family to be with him.
If you can help to identity this man, please contact Levin Police Station on 06 366 0500.
