Email 1 - Gaby

Hi Michael, Haimoana Gardiner has had his name through the mud, invoked speculation about whether or not he should keep his job, and even brought attention to his relatives. I would like to know who the woman was - where does she work? who are her relatives? what's her background?. She obviously poses a threat to young men, and people should know who she is. Crazy cougars stay at home.

Email 2 - Corey

It’s this simple mike,

Hymona [sic] taped a women without her permission, that is illegal! Doesn’t matter how nuts the cougar is, he still PRODUCED a sexually explicit video without the women’s permission. This man should not be in any political leadership role, he has proven he is deceitful!

Mind you I guess that sums up most our politicians. Though that doesn’t mean we should encourage deception by doing nothing.

E mail two...what a nutsack. Haimona's one of my closest mates, and yeah i told him it was kinda creepy, but lets face it, its fricking lucky he took that vid! That nasty old chick is a lowlife man, lucky Hai caught her before she screamed rape at someone else cause of her drunken stupidity. Haimona isnt even a politician, he handles Tariana Turia's diary! And Sue, no one wants to go in ur nasty "Im above everything" home anyway. Hai isnt a creep, you dont know half of the things he does for young people all over the country, and one night of drunken stupor mean you can judge him? Lady, youre a retard if u think you have the right to judge anyone based on one event. Bet you didnt know that Hai saved my life in a car accident, or that he hosted 3 Youth Leadership conferences prior to this? Nah, youre just all about chucking stones from ur little glass house. Lady, no one respects a person who thinks that theyre moral conscience is above God. Get a life.

The encounters we heard this morning show the Islamic veil and burqa are about cultural arrogance toward the host culture. How will the mealy mouthed cultural appeasers justify this. Wait till the cliorectomy facts surface. According to Pat Condell 8000 little girls were brutalised in this way in the UK last year. I believe it happens in Australia and while illegal in NZ, they are taking their little girls to Australia for the operation. Stuart. Dunedin

This guy is a creep - no character, or decency. A shame to his family. I would not have this deviant in my home.
And neither would I have the woman who cried rape in my home - what a lowlife she is.

I agree with email 1. I was dissapointed to read his article in the Dominion Post. Firstly, Haimona is a private secretary, not necessarily in a position of political power as email 2 suggests. Secondly, how dire the situation could have been had he not procured the evidence. Preying cougars should either stay at home, or at least prey on someone their own age. Also regarding the sex tape - If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Heh...

Unfortunate proclivity! is that what you call what this sexual deviant does?

Using a lesser crime to prove one's innocence of a larger crime may have a morally debatable dimension.....But it happens all the time in court and is sanctioned by the government...its called plea bargaining. At least in this case the defendant proactively admitted to his unfortunate proclivity of videoing women to prove his innocence....and let him be judged on this action alone. Similarly, let the (seemingly) false accuser of rape be judged on her actions regardless of the video. Both parties should be charged as appropriate under the relevant statutes.
