"Graeme Hill banned/blocked from Facebook" read the text last night. These sorts of texts are often a handy indication of how my Monday is going to go. And my Monday is going a little something like this...
Last year, Graeme Hill brought you this interview with former Las Vegas showgirl Rosalie Williams. To accompany this, Graeme also posted a picture of Rosalie on the Weekend Variety Wireless Facebook page, as he so often thoughtfully does.
A year passed by with this photo on the page. Another month passed by. No one seemed to mind, until recently when it got flagged to Facebook and removed.
"Apparently somebody complained about the picture of NZ Vegas Showgirl of the 60s, the lovely Rosalie Williams which has been up for years. It was deemed offensive in some way by facebook. I couldn’t post unless I removed it, so reluctantly I removed it," says Graeme.
"The only sensible thing to do then was to see what happened if I tried to re-post it. I thought it would just tell me I can’t upload it, but no... WHAM! Me banned, for a few days."
We're not sure at this stage how long Mr. Hill will remain incarcerated for his crimes, but rest assured the handy Facebook team at MediaWorks are working on the case.
In the meantime, scroll down and click the image below, if you dare, to see why Graeme got banned. A small warning, as if you need one after reading this: Image may offend some people.
When you're finished, why not listen to Graeme's interview with Rosalie?
