Done nothing wrong? Misrepresenting full fund worth and lending to 'worthy' causes the money of investors at 0% is OK because he looks like a nice old chappie? You say yourself he defauded his investors Jeffrey, why should he be left alone, for Heaven's sake? The mess was left by your beloved Labour Party, Key is just left holding the Handi towels on this one.And as for the patronising comment about him getting on in age, well, if an 80 year old man shoots someone, I guess he has lived long enough to be forgiven too eh?Hubbard should have realised his shortcomings that came as a result of his advancing years and stood aside. Instead he has lead his investors on a smoke and mirrors money-go-round that has left you and me out of pocket. My kids now have less money because of this man and his actions. That is reprehensible. He has kicked this country in the guts.

So John Key blames Allan Hubbard for the dirty dealings of SCF .One would have to say that because Allan Hubbard is a getting on in his age and he has done nothing wrong it would be best if the government leave Allan Hubbard alone and give him a break for Heavens sake. How would John Key and his ilk like it if he was in charge of a financial company and then defrauded investors.
