Yes I agree its a persons choice whether to incorporate healthy habits and weight - BUT for those who choose the unhealthy way then please pay for your own healthcare and for all the extra expense that you afford other people who are taking responsibility for their health - (i.e larger seats, beds, clothes, seats on the plane etc etc etc :....)
A lot of good sense there-- I hope more people integrate it into their thinking.
This is a fantastic interview and the content resonates with my personal fervent pro choice stance. It is a person's choice whether to incorporate healthy habits in their life, it is a person's choice whether they find fat thin or in between attractive, it is a person's choice to feel confident and self accepting of their body. Thank you! Warmly, Dr. Deah leftoverstogo.com
Great comments from the guest speaker. Focusing on health is far better than focusing on weight. A healthy lifestyle is good for everyone regardless of weight and we know that studies show that stigma makes fat people less likely to eat healthfully and exercise regularly. Fat panic decreases health so let's focus on people loving their bodies and they'll want to take care of them!
Cat provides such a refreshing perspective. I like that she stressed a focus on wellbeing rather than weight, but I LOVE that she started by saying that we have no moral obligation to be healthy.
This is an awesome interview Cat! I agree that focus on weight loss is detrimental for people of all sizes. Great job.
