Design and Build - Fact Sheets and Advice

Econo Heat facts sheet

SAFETY
The top concerns with heater safety are surface temperature and the possibility of a fire. ECONO-HEATERS® operate at a surface temperature of approx 90ºC, dependant on the ambient temperature.
This ensures that, although the electric wall heater is hot to touch, it will not burn the skin if touched. This gives parents and pet owners peace of mind when leaving the heater on while their children or pets are alone in the room.

However, if infants can get to the electric wall heater they should not be left unattended due to their limited reflex development and the possibility that they may not react and pull away when they feel the heat.

HEALTH
By taking the chill off the air in bedrooms and hallways, a healthier environment can be created in your home. Your entire home should feel warmer, rather than just overheated lounges and colder bedroom areas.
EFFECTIVE
ECONO-HEATERS® are not designed to deliver a blast of instant heat, but rather stay on for longer periods of time to take the chill out of the air.
For example getting out of bed or opening the office on those cold mornings; or returning home after a hard day's work. In this way, ECONO-HEATERS® are very effective. The use of the ECONO-HEAT® Time Switch Socket Outlet allows you to enjoy warmth whenever it suits you, Click here to see picture.

VALUE
The total cost of a heating system includes the heater plus the cost of installation. Nothing comes close to the value of an ECONO-HEAT® system.
Installation costs are virtually non-existant, since most people can install these heaters in less than twenty minutes using the supplied installation kit. There are also no electrical hookups required, since they plug directly into a standard power outlet.

EFFICIENCY
Efficiency is determined by how well a heater works for the amount of electricity it uses. We believe ECONO-HEATERS® use less electricity than most other heaters on the market (including any radiant heater) for a given area. They are a convector heater that naturally draws in cold air from the floor of the room and then circulates this warm air around the whole room.

ECONOMICAL TO RUN
We believe the ECONO-HEAT® wall panel heaters are the most economical electric panel heater on the market today. The heater is such a low wattage (only 260 and 400 watts) to operate. The 260 watt uses 5-6* cents electricity per hour and the 400 watt uses less than 9* cents of electricity per hour, that is the equivalent power consumed by 3-5 incandescent light bulbs.
*Based on an electricity price of 22 cents per unit (kWh), including GST

VERSATILE MODERN DESIGN
ECONO-HEATERS® are slim, sleek, stylish and aesthetically pleasing. When they're painted the same colour as the walls, you hardly know they're there!

RELIABLE
Many heaters today have a short life span because fan motors and/or heating elements burn out. Not so with the ECONO-HEATER®. It comprises of no moving parts. We do not expect the ECONO-HEATER® to break down if it is installed and used in accordance with the instructions and is not abused. Click here to download instructions.

CHOICE
What other heater on the market can be used in so many different environments and be matched or contrasted with any wall colour.

To be fair, you need to do a better job extolling the virtues of this heater. All resistance heaters are 100% efficient and to suggest otherwise is poor business practice. Clients react better to honest, up front assessment of pro's and con's, than marketing speel. Why don't you say that "while all plug in heaters have the same efficiency, we believe that slimline heaters have a place in a well designed heating environment." and then go on to say why. I mean they do have benefits such as slimline, permanently attached etc., much like a nightstore (but obviously more expensive to run since they're likely to be using day rate. But we've had people calling us to ask whether they should buy one because they use less electricity. We have to tell them they use less electricity because they produce less heat. That kind of defeats the positive aspects of these beasties when the marketing is less than honest.

My wife and I are both Pensioners and have just this year found the winter very cold. The front of our house where the bedrooms are is very cold and we feel that a Econa Heater would be just ideal.Thank you for the opputunity to go in the draw to win a heater.
Yours faithfully,
Frank Good,
