Is it an insult to parents to remove publication of decile ratings from the Education Review Office's reports?
The ERO announced the change on Monday, saying it's all too often viewed as a ranking system for the quality of education provided by schools, rather than the funding rating system that it is.
"Too often it is seen as a rating of the quality of the education which a school provides and this is simply not correct. By removing the decile rating from ERO's reports we hope to help remove this element of confusion and correct this misconception," said chief review office of the ERO Dr. Graham Stoop.
