Do you take issue with gay marriage?
Is it time to embrace gay marriage in NZ?
Parliamentary debate over whether to allow same sex couples to marry is set to take place in the coming weeks, with political commentators racing to envisage what the outcome may be.
The bill has immediate support from Labour Leader David Shearer, Maori Party co-leaders Pita Sharples and Tariana Turia, plus all 14 Green Party MPs.
Conservative Party leader Colin Craig has made his stance known on Twitter, stating that it is "not intelligent to pretend that homosexual relationships are normal". Mr. Craig does not believe it is the place of government to interfere with "the bedrooms of the country".
Patrick Gower believes the result will come down to the way Prime Minister John Key votes.
Would you support this bill?
