By Freedom China??
He didn't go far enough! Look you've got to relise that John Key will drop his pants at the sound of chink ca chink! He's a "Market Trader" and can't stop himself from selling NZ short for any price. Thats how he got rich! But NZ isn't for sale!! Last time I looked NZ was a "free" country and we are still allowed to think for ourselves and voice opinions without been threatened especially by a country that doesn't allow this freedom China.

to Tony stop spreading your imperialistic american lies, america plays freely? say that to the Iranians when americans pressure UN members to sanction Iran, say that to China when america denies China the high tech products China needs to go green, say that when America invades a country to secure natural resource in some countries. Atleast China securing resources with money unlike americans who go around the world waving their fists demanding special rights.

American companies buy things all over the world for commercial gain, and then they sell them. The American currency floats freely. They play fair. This is different. China is not letting it's currency float. It dosn't play fair in that regard. It is government controlled companies that do much of the buying, for long term strategic interest. Basically, it is China, the country, rather than individual chinese people, who are buying. That is one difference between them and the americans. It is like imperialism without bloodshed.Glad you agree that its good to hang onto our assets. Telecom is a very technical outfit. The americans can add a huge amount of expertise to improve our system - and capital to make it happen. many would argue that we need that kind of investment to have a decent system. But China buying dairy farms- in what way is that going to improve us - we are renowned as the best dairy farmers in the world - they are not going to improve us. They are just going to secure a low cost supply of food for themselves. And we miss out on the profits forever if we sell to them. Again, it's like selling the golden goose instead of keeping it and selling the eggs. If we hadn't let that ridiculous land price bubble happen, there would not be the same pressure on to sell our currently overpriced land. But if we sell to them, its a long term bad move to solve a short term problem of overpriced land.

By TonyChina's not that different now. It's using it's wealth and power to buy big parts of the world. It's using unfair trade practices to build up huge wealth with which to do that.Gee tony that sounds exactly like what america has done already for years, exploiting and bullying smaller economic powers to its own advantage...such is the path of democracy eh!...and now an equal large power is jumping in the game you moan about it?I agree with you on holding our assets but what china is doing now has already been done by the states...Who was it that brought telecom?Anyway russel borman was wrong to do what he did...he could have called a press confrence and publicly voiced his concerns about china...not some silly little school boy stint and make this country look like a bunch of fools he did more harm than good with his actions...and a man in his position of power should be seen to act in a more refined manner not act as some undignified non thinking protesting fool.Leave the actvist stuff to the activist people russell when you took your seat in politics you should know you actions should reflect a respectiable persons actions...maybees thats the problem with MMP idiots like you who rearly dont take the responsibilty of running the country for the benifit of the country serriously!. How the hell could we the people ever make someone like you pm or the likes...your likley to insult the visting dignitary if you dont agree with there way of life...and i dont want people like you running the country! at all!!!.
China's not that different now. It's using it's wealth and power to buy big parts of the world. It's using unfair trade practices to build up huge wealth with which to do that. Democracies like ours are stupid enough to get massively into debt to them. It's happening as we speak and we should all be very concerned about it. They want to buy our dairy farms. Where's the gain for us in that? It's like selling the golden goose. It's just the stupidest thing we could do.
Hi method may have been a little 'brash'yes they were and he oversteped his boundary as a mp and imbarrised himself and his party by acting in this manner...like a little brat is this rearly what democarsy is about...i mean you idiots rearly think that china can change in one day? huh rearly...If you look back 100 years and see china is slowly changing its ways it is changing for the good so all you plonky activist types should look at the big picture and realise the china of today is very very diffrent to the china of 50yrs ago!.so what china claimed back land that was part of china of yesteryear...the very same way maori peoples are trying to claim back land that they once held. whats the diffrence bro?The land of tibet wrongfully broke away from china back then the same way land was wrongfully taken from some maori back then so what has happned over there is happening over here...same same but diffrent!.And what does budda say the best action is no action. Why dont you norman a green party member whos party came about baised on green envorimental issues focus on issues closer at hand...I mean if your so conserned about tibet and its people why dont you show the very same concern for people over here...i mean isnt that why we the tax payer pay your wage to look after us and not some other countrys people!. If your so worried about tibet why dont ya piss off over there and take the fight to the people?..Ya i guessed so...you only pulled that stint for ratings...you deep in your heart dont give a stuff about tibet and its people...your the worst kind of supportey , you only support as long as its convient for you...something you lerned off helen clark eh! russel?.

Hi method may have been a little 'brash', however he has every right to make sure his and his Party's view was stated very strongly. What concerns me more is the efforts to which John Key and his tory cronies are going to pacify the Chinese over this matter.
Good on you Russell Norman. You're paid by us to stand up and lead the country to the best of your ability. You've done that and drawn attention to a very dodgy deal that's going down. We need more to do likewise.
