Kate Marshall from Waimea Nurseries recommended spray new season stone fruit trees with fungicide and insecticide (both natural, safe products, please) in autumn and again in spring for their first two seasons.

Kate said that subsequent years would not be a problem for the dreaded curly leaf. Spray all parts of the trunk and branches as the pathogens over winter under the tree bark.

Greg called into the show and described the root system of the passion fruit plant. He suggested feeding well established plants out from the stem of the plant as the roots on the passionfruit are wide-reaching.
