Cops copping it

By Megan Franich

Hey Bruce. I love that you have bought this up. There are so many important issues that should make the news but that don't get proper attention. If this man is such a do-gooder, I wish he would turn his focus and energy towards something that really would make a difference in the world today. I like people who stand up for what's right and spend the time speaking up. But choose your subjects more carefully Mr Mac. The world is getting so uptight that kids can't just be kids and have fun anymore. Lighten up!!!

Heya... Great to catch up with you on your show the other weekend, Bruce. A few small kahawai and trevally off the Hutt River Pipe Bridge in recent weeks. Been a bit crook last 10 days, but had an awesome Waitangi Day Concert earlier this month. Had a live gig last night at PWMC for Valentines Day. Even went through several untried songs (totally unrehearsed)... including ALL MY LIFE (Neville/Rondstadt), LET THERE BE LOVE (Nat King Cole), and LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH (Luther Vandross). Life is such a buzz living on the ragged edge... you also take up far less room! The Wolfman is back! Graham

I'm with you Bruce - sometimes we forget how to have some good old fun. Lets applaud the police for turning up and helping raise money - I'm sure the parents would have complained if they thought their children were unsafe - it didn't need mean spirited Mac to make his moan.

Outrageous. My goodness Bruce, whatever has happened to this nation? We've truly become a country of whinging bleaters, not content to look at good wholesome fun without fretting and frowning and tattle-tailing. How Mr Mac must have stewed on this. the sleepless nights, the 14 months of furrowed brow and bitten nails, the distant look of a troubled soul at dinner parties on the shore. the horror, the horror.

Ha ha, kids love this, i remember being taken for a ride in an old fire truck, early 70's, old school styles, it was cool, i even got to press the button to sound the siren and wear a big old heavy fire hat...those days are gone, but the memory isn't...when we returned to the station, someone had phoned in complaining about the noise...as there was no fire!

Topless Women vs Fat Beer Belly Men On TV recently there was a story on a young lady in her 20-30's (ok I cant guess age to save myself) anyway she was a nice girl and she wanted to topless sunbath on the beach. Enter moralistic idiots. A couple of council oficials arrived and even though there is no by-law prohibiting this women from topless sunbathing, she was asked to cover up. After all there were families to think about!! Well, I think this is completely screwed. I have been on beaches all around the world, topless or not. No one cares if you are topless or not. What is offensive is Fat Beer Belly Men in public view. I speak from a "Family persective". The women in question had a body that she looked after. She was sexualising nothing. However Fat Beer Belly men are showing the world how they dont look after themselves. They set a bad example for our boys and to hell with it...why should I pay a "Beer belly" to get medical treatment when their body finally collapses. It is the Fat Beer Belly man who is offensive not the topless women.
