Car crushing "enjoyed" by Police Minister Anne Tolley - Audio
Michael Laws speaks to Police Minister Anne Tolley about the first car crushing that took place under the new 'boy racer' law this morning.
The Minister pressed the button around 10am today, the car taking 49 seconds to be flattened. None of the owner's possessions were removed from the vehicle before the crushing.
Minister Tolley says that it's a pretty drastic, final step to crush someone's car, which is why the punishment is enacted on the owner's third strike.
