The opposition are calling on John Key to disclose the details of any dealings with SkyCity that have seen a deal to build a new convention centre in exchange for more pokies. Labour claims SkyCity want 500 more pokies in its casino in exchange for building the new $350 million centre, but the government is offering 350.
"John Key has told SkyCity he will change the law so they can have more pokies. He's been dealing behind the scenes, it hasn't been transparent and we need to reopen the tender," said Labour leader David Shearer.
The PM says any accusations are nonsense and it was a normal tender process that resulted in the convention centre plans.
