there's people in my town on the the sickness benifit for being hooked on drink and pot, they tell me they get paid well for that,,haha- they said if they give up the odd puff and beer they wouldn't get the benifit and have to go back to work!! this is what's happened to alot of our dole bluggers..

spikey - I have yet to see someone on the sickness benefit who couldn't work. They figure a way to live off the govt, and take advantage of it. If it wasn't for these dirty, lazy beneficiaries the top tax rate might not be so incredibly high.

Chris, you really are stupid. No excuse to be on a benefit you said. Would you let those who are invalids starve along with those who are unable to find work. You probably would. You are truly morally bankrupt.

Gavin - Why should the govt subsidise people who choose to be poor? Putting up GST is good, as it increases the disincentive on consumption and incentives saving investment. We need to reduce consumption and increase savings and investments.

This whole tax thing will make things much worse for the poor and low income earners,,,a giant step backward - - frankly typical of a National party.
