I find it rather revealing of the level of intellect and moral capacity of people like Graham Hill that he would say the most "hysterical" comments are coming from those opposed to 1080 and pretend to take the high road. It is complete idiocy. Obviously those who are not opposed to it DON'T fear it and will have no fear and hence not be "hysterical". This is no different from saying that those who fear something will show fear and those who don't won't, but he clothes it high class words to try and sound intelligent. Fear is an emotion & the word hysterical as Graham used it means overly fearful and emotional and originally only applied to women ("of the womb") because they are generally more fearful (protective by nature) and emotional (empathetic) creatures and it was thought their uterus was malfunctioning when they became "hysterical". Is it even possible for those who SUPPORT 1080 poison to be hysterical as Graham used it? If not use it the other way as some kind of comparison or debating point? The people who use this sort of tactic are showing they are not interested in debate or truth and only interested in winning the argument by emotional means. It betrays their real nature. very revealing.

Can we have a reference for this chap's research please. Several things concerned us... no sample size data has been provided, the investigation has no less than 3 main lines, what happens to the consumer of the primary consumer?, why was the investigation halted after 4 days of data accumulation?. We found it interesting to note the use of the word 'natural' and submit that cyanide and pyrethrum are also naturally occuring toxins. Lastly... who funded this research? can we have a reference please.

Maybe some of you should read the product label or safety data sheet to see how dangerous this stuff is to our clean green?? environment. (Anyone can research it for themselves on the ACP Pestoff website.) It states: "This product (1080)is toxic to most wildlife. Birds and mammals feeding on carcasses of contaminated animals may be killed. Take measures to minimise the chance of baits accidentally entering any body of water. Harmful to aquatic organisms. Manage bait application rates carefully and comply with any restrictions imposed on placing baits over or near waterways. Avoid pollution of any water supply with pellets or used container."

When we first came here we saw lot's of yabbies. Since the last drop there's none O, no little fishes no batmen no frogs. I sat in the ranges the other day for 1 hr heard two birds tweet. After that drop alone 3 people got seriously ill associated with the farm next door where the water to the houses was from that bush. Couldn't find the cause. Not even testing for 1080.
